The Karnes County ESD is made up of five individual fire departments that service all of Karnes County and provide mutual aid to the counties surrounding Karnes. All five of these departments are made up of anywhere between 10-30 volunteer members. The departments are highly trained and very dedicated to the protection of the community. Our ESD covers approximately 350 calls a year on average and covers 753 sq miles.
